Morta Cherrywood
« on: May 20, 2018, 04:33:13 PM »
Just ordered a Morta pipe from blueroombriars.com.

I've wanted to try a Morta but most that I like were a bit outside my comfort price range.

Blue Room Briars is selling some reasonable pipes produced by Vermont Freehand.   The Cherrywood shape that I have coming was quite reasonable -- list $149 with the newsletter discount $131 and change.  Good size bowl too.  .70x1.59

Congrats and Enjoy. I have one Morta and it smokes consistently cool and handles all blends very well.

I have it and smoked it for a couple of days.  No breakin.  Acts like a pipe that's been smoked for a while.   Walls are thicker than most of my pipes.  I think the Morta might need that extra.

I love my morta pipe, but I'll stop at one.  I'm terrified of dropping it.  It would be in 1000 pieces.

And I am a guy that drops pipes too often.  :) :o

I have this one on my nightstand and smoke it in bed.  Don't tell the Fire Marshal.  I have a power base that turns it into a lounger.   So, I won't bust the pipe but I may burn down the house.
